Why do you need some of my Personal Information?

Bloomin’ Sweet Delights (BSD) are committed to complying with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 1998 and have published this short guide to help you understand how and why BSD collect information from you, when information is disclosed and what your rights are.

You can access our Facebook page or website and browse without disclosing your personal data. However, when you place an order with BSD or subscribe to our newsletter you will be asked to provide certain information about yourself.  

What information do we collect and how do we obtain it?  If you order with us you will be asked to provide certain information such as your name, email address, postal address (only if you are requesting delivery of your order) and a contact number so that we can process and fulfil your order, notify you of your order status and inform you of special offers and promotions. If you subscribe to our newsletter we will ask you for just an email address.

How do we use your information? We use the information that we collect about you to process orders and manage your order. We also use this information to monitor customer buying patterns and Facebook/website usage to help develop our customers’ experience, and to notify you about enhancements to our services, including special offers and changes. By subscribing to our newsletter you have shown a legitimate interest in our products and given us permission to send you information about our products and services by telephone, e-mail or in writing; you agree that by doing so BSD are not in breach of the Telecommunications (Data Protection and Privacy) Regulations 1999 or the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) Code of Practice.

Who does BSD disclose the information it collects to?  We only use information about you for purposes of the provision of an online & direct shopping facility. We do not disclose your information to partner sites or third parties.  

Keeping in touch with you We want to keep you up to date with information about new ranges, special offers and improvements to our media platforms. If you decide you do not want us to contact you, you can request that we stop using your information and that we do not contact you with business or product information by writing to us via email, Facebook message or by unsubscribing from our newsletter via our website. You may continue to receive mailings which are already en route to you for a short period of time while your request is being dealt with.  


Your rights You have a right to access the personal data that we hold on you. If you would like to see a copy please send a written request to the Data Protection Manager via email quoting Security and Privacy Enquiry. If you think the information we hold on you is incorrect or you would like it removed please contact the Data Protection Manager via email, quoting Security and Privacy Enquiry.  

BSD commitment to Customer Service BSD operate to a high level of commercial standards which are designed to protect your privacy, ensure payments are secure and that the highest standard of customer service is met.

Cookies: A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. BSD uses cookies to help BSD identify and track visitors, their usage of BSD website, and their website access preferences. BSD visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using BSD’s websites, with the drawback that certain features of BSD’s websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Fraud: If we believe any order to be fraudulent we reserve the right to cancel and refund that order. We are not obligated to explain our reasoning.
